Domestic Violence 24-Hour Hotline

Supportive counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy and information and referral are provided by trained staff by telephone 24 hours a day.   response to the emergency room or hospital to provide information and emotional support to a person experiencing domestic violence or homelessness.

Counseling and Advocacy For Adults

One-on-one counseling which encourages empowerment through emotional support and education around issues related to experiencing domestic violence or homelessness.   Life Skills groups teach fundamental life skills in order to improve daily living and enhance independence.   Healthy Alternatives groups offer domestic violence education and emotional support in a structured group.

Counseling and Advocacy For Children

One-on-one counseling with a child that addresses the effects of domestic violence and/or homelessness on children and related issues the child may have witnessed or experienced.  Parenting skills and advocacy with third parties, schools and/or other service providers on behalf of a child.

Domestic Violence Shelter For Women & Children

Women and their children who are experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness may access shelter services on an emergency basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Partner Abuse Intervention – Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP)

A group program which helps men recognize abusive behaviors, learn nonviolent interaction skills and teaches them to take responsibility for their abusive behavior and the effects of their abuse on their partners and children.

Legal and Medical Advocacy

Information, support and technical assistance in the criminal and civil court forum for the purpose of obtaining, modifying, extending, or enforcing an Order of Protection and emotional support for other kinds of civil court proceedings.

Assistance and support in obtaining any needed health care services.

Drug Court

Crosspoint is a participant on the Vermilion County Drug Court Team.  Drug Court is an innovative program designed to provide non-violent, drug-addicted defendants with successful drug treatment as an alternative to incarceration.
